Combustibles, sector-specific communication
More than 25 years ago, the Belgian Federation of Fuel Distributors (Brafco) turned to Bold & pepper to develop its sector-specific communication in accordance with two objectives. The first one had to inform fuel distribution professionals of developments in the sector. The second one had to take part in the Brafco lobbying: expressing profession’s views vis-à-vis the authorities and its partners within other organisations in the sector.
Bold & pepper handled the complete production of the magazine Combustibles: from editorial strategy to shipping, advertising management and layout. The production of a specialist content was at the core of this strategy. Bold & pepper journalists produced reports and conducted interviews in companies, administrations and ministerial offices. They subsequently wrote feature articles specific to the sector. The relevance of the content is regularly assessed in order to promote accessibility for all target groups. The magazine's visual identity was completely revamped two years ago, with an emphasis on the transposition of information into computer graphics
Articles in Combustibles deal with various types of energy as well as regulatory, environmental and transport aspects linked to the profession. The transposition of technical data into computer graphics makes complex subjects crystal-clear, in the best interest of a professional readership made up of importers, wholesalers, distributors and service station managers. The magazine's constant evolution makes it easier for professionals to read and highlights the specificities of the profession with regard to political stakeholders.
