Professional magazine of the Belgian wood industry
The Belgian Timber Federation was created in April 2017 from the merger of the Union Nationale des Entreprises du Bois and the Fédération Nationale des Scieries. At the Belgian level, it has more than 220 members from the forestry, logging, sawmilling and timber trading sectors. In order to inform its members and encourage communication within the timber industry, it aimed to launch a sector-specific publication.
Bold & pepper was able to bring several assets to bear on this project. On the one hand, a long experience in communication on the part of a federation towards its members. On the other hand, in-depth knowledge of the timber industry in Belgium (production of magazine Le courrier du bois for many years and current collaboration with Hout Info Bois in particular for the development of its social media).
Taking into account the target group, the proposed editorial concept emphasises, among other things, the variety of formats and maximises readability. A simple and attractive formula that combines sector-specific information, member reports and discussion files.
First source of satisfaction, the magazine Bois Entreprise has received many positive reactions from the timber industry.
After that, the magazine is being read. During discussions with the Federation's officials, members regularly give new impetus to topics covered in the magazine. Not only does the publication get people talking about it, but it also creates a bond within the industry.
Lastly, member reports provide valuable information for a federation that is committed to helping its members. The challenges, day-to-day issues or sensitive files referenced in these reports are systematically followed up by the Belgian Timber Federation. With several concrete advances to top it off. In short, the concept contributes to the Federation’s missions.
